Safe
Well I arrived in sunny Hertfordshire unharmed, well at least physically.
The train journey was long and arduous, but worth it, I feel, at least I’d best say that lest Jennifer hit me, or slit my throat while I sleep in a room full of knives :O The Leeds train was 3 minutes late, and then was further delayed at Bramley with a wheelchair user getting on the train, so the unprepared porter was taking longer than necessary to get the ramp out, don’t they get training? On buses they have hydraulic ramps which sit flush to the inside of the bus when not in use, trains could learn a lesson.
We attempted to go out for a bimble round Buntingford, but it decided to absolutely drench us to excess. Which decided to stop completely almost as soon as we managed to find shelter in the Citizen’s Advice Bureau where Jenny’s mother works. Absolutely typical.
Nonetheless it was not a wasted day, as we went back to her house and read our respective books in the garden, where the sun stayed out almost continuously. Damn their eyes!
Now I am relaxing with a glass of white wine, and not watching the cricket. Pointedly. ![]()
